Improved tumour detection and diagnostic reliability by developing a custom U-Net CNN for high-resolution MRI brain scan segmentation. Evaluated performance with 71% IoU and 82% Dice coefficient, and applied data augmentation to overcome limited samples, significantly boosting segmentation accuracy.
